Who we are

This website is run by Rumbold Builders Ltd, a family run building firm based in Ripon, North Yorkshire. You can contact us by phone on 07946 335020 or by email at office@rumboldbuilders.co.uk.

What personal data we collect

This website does not collect or store personal information directly. There is no contact form — when you click an email link your own email programme opens and you choose what to send us, and when you call us we only hold the details you give us over the phone.

How we use your data

If you email or call us, we use the information you provide only to respond to your enquiry, to prepare a quotation and to manage any work you ask us to carry out. We do not sell your details, and we do not use them for marketing unless you explicitly agree to it.

Cookies

When you first visit the site we ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookies. Nothing beyond the strictly necessary cookies is set until you choose to allow it. We group cookies into four categories:

• Strictly necessary — a first-party cookie named rb_cookie_consent that stores your choice for 12 months, plus cookies needed to keep the site secure and working. These cannot be switched off.
• Analytics & performance — records anonymous information about the pages you visit. Off unless you opt in.
• Marketing & advertising — used to measure or target advertising. We do not currently run any advertising cookies, and this category is off unless you opt in.
• Functional / personalisation — remembers preferences so parts of the site can be tailored to you. Off unless you opt in.

Third-party services

The website uses Google Fonts for typography. These services may collect anonymous usage data in line with their own privacy policies. We do not receive that data from them.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law and GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing, and to ask for your data to be moved to another service. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe your data has been misused.
